The West Midlands Institute of Psychotherapy (WMIP) was established for the promotion and advancement of the study and research into all matters relating to psychotherapy and the dissemination of the useful results of any such study and research for the benefit of the public.
The Institute is a major centre of training for psychoanalytic psychotherapists and is committed to equal opportunities. It welcomes everyone without discrimination on the grounds of race, class, culture, gender, marital status, physical disability, religion or sexual orientation.
WMIP provides a regular programme of lectures and seminars. These lectures are given by Institute members or visiting lecturers and are based on topics of interest to practising psychotherapists, and also those working in related fields such as medicine, nursing, social work, pastoral care and counselling.
